Diving adventure for Skegness students

PUPILS at Skegness Grammar School took to the pool at the Embassy Centre in Skegness last week for a special deep-sea diving session with the local sub-aqua group.

Twenty-three youngsters were put through their paces ahead of a planned trip to Kenya with Camps International.

There they will be taking part in voluntary wildlife and community work.

As a reward for this hard work they will also do a PADI open water course at Diani Beach and experience a safari.

In preparation for their water-based adventure the Skegness Sub Aqua put the 23 youngsters through their paces at a special Try Dives session in the local pool last week.

The Try Dive gave the students a taster as to what to expect on their course.

The Try Dives sessions are open to anyone interested in diving. The club is affiliated to the British Sub Aqua Club and offers recognised qualifications.

Its pool sessions are every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm
