CMA CGM, the world’s third largest container shipping Group and France’s leading, has the pleasure to announce that passengers cabins are now available on board the CMA CGM MARCO POLO, the world’s largest containership of 16 020 TEUs.
This giant of the seas which has exceptional dimensions (longer than 396m) is the equivalent of 4 football pitches and bigger than the Empire State Building !
These original cruises offer travelers the possibility to live a unique and unforgettable experience by discovering oceans, seas and continents to the beat of international trade and involving themselves in the life on board by sharing the crew’s everyday life.
The CMA CGM MARCO POLO includes 5 double modern cabins of 20m2 each, a lounge with TV equipment, a library, a fitness room and even a swimming pool.
This vessel is deployed on the world largest route linking Asia to Europe and will allow travelers to discover the world’s largest ports on the following rotation: Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Yantian, Port Kelang, Tanger, Southampton, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Malta, Khor Al Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Ningbo.
« Cargo cruises » are proposed by the CMA CGM Group since 2000 and allow boarding the Group’s owned-cargos on the different major global shipping routes (North Europe-Asia / USA-Asia / Round the world via the Panama Canal / the West Indian road / Europe-India).

North Europe – Asia: Climb aboard one of the jewels of CMA CGM’s fleet, deployed between Asia and Europe! Flying the french flag, they have extra large dimensions : 365 m. long, 51 m. wide, with a maze of passageways, gigantic holds, and massive machine rooms.
Asia – Mediterranean: Discover historic Mediterranean ports like Jeddah (city of the mythical Tomb of Eve), the Suez Canal (ahistoric link uniting cultures), Malta (crossroads of Mediterranean civilizations), and follow Asian trade routes calling on the world’s largest ports.
USA – Asia: From the west coast of the U.S., embark on an adventure to visit the treasures of southern China. Discover the functioning of the world’s largest container port : Singapore.
Round the World: Europe – USA – Australia. Follow in the footsteps of the Mayflower, sailing from northern Europe to the U.S. East Coast. From there, head through the Panama Canal to points west and dream destinations like Polynesia, New Caledonia, Australia and New Zealand.
Europe – Guyane – Brésil: Cross the Atlantic Ocean: from North Europe to Caribbean Sea, Brazil, Portugal and Spain, multicolored destinations. The West Indian road: Travel the Atlantic Ocean from Le Havre to West Indies and follow the West Indian banana’s journey through calls in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
