Traveling WWI exhibit on its way Virginia Beach

A traveling World War I museum will make a stop at the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center this week.

The exhibit, aboard an 18-wheeler, will include weapons, equipment and uniforms from the war. Visitors can also experience the tight conditions of trench warfare.

It’s free, and it’s open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

It’s part of a 75-city “Honoring Our History” tour, organized by Waddell & Reed, a mutual fund and financial planning company based in Kansas, and the National World War I Museum.

Exhibit visitors can make donations to support the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center and the National World War I Museum.
